Description
The Native Animal Trust Fund Inc. (NATF) is a non-profit, registered charity organisation operating under license from the NSW National Park's & Wildlife Service. It is involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned native fauna. Call 0418 628 483 for 24 hour help.
NATF was the very first volunteer wildlife rescue group to operate in NSW, commencing over 21 years ago. Our members are volunteers who come from all walks of life, all ages and many different interests. Most have jobs and families and many demands on their time and energy, but we all have a love, concern or interest in our wonderful Australian native fauna, and it's survival.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU FIND AN INJURED, SICK OR ORPHANED NATIVE ANIMAL> For small native animals (eg bird, possum, lizard, tortoise) throw a blanket or towek over it to immobilize it and then quickly scoop it up and put it in a ventilated box and cover it.
